Even After All This Time — A poem by a friend

My friends are brillant. A four year old poem written by an amazing friend of me. ——————————————- If I could find a spot where truth echoes I’d stand there and whisper All of the dreams about I’ve ever had All of the memories we shared Or that I wanted us to share All the things we said and didn’t say That should and shouldn’t have been spoken I’d describe every look you gave me Those ones that made me feel immortal And those that made me feel useless I’d whisper all of this And sit In the familiar silence that always means so many things for us I’d sit in that silence And listen For what echoes back Because after all this time I don’t know Which ones were mislead dreams and false memories And which were reality even if hidden And it can’t be hidden that I still think of you Still sit in the silence After all has been said And Listen For anything
